From 27th to 31st October 2025, We provided paid vehicle maintenance training at the SRT Makkasan Factory in preparation for the commencement of commercial operations for the Kiha 40 and 48 series trains transferred to State Railway of Thailand (SRT).Mr Masaki Ogata from the Mobility Service Unit, Tohoku Headquarters; Mr Kazuma Funaki from the Minami Akita Centre, Akita General Rolling Stock Centre; Ms Tomoyo Kimura from the Overseas Railway Business Division; and Mr Kohei Watanabe, seconded to Japan Transportation Technology Co., Ltd. in Thailand, were dispatched. They provided instruction on emergency measures for vehicle faults during operation and engaged in active question-and-answer sessions with SRT staff.
